@squeed when it comes to rust , there are advantages for a leaner std . one needs to remember that binary sizes are already nig w rust , so a larger statically linked std would make it impossible to use most language features on devices w low memory

not saying that the current approach is great , but . in rusts specific case , i kinda do see the point
