remembering my middle school science teacher. he was a short grumpy british man with like 12 sets of letters after his name from his many degrees (doctorate among them of course) etc. he started every year by giving a presentation about how he lives in a dumpster and his favorite character is plank from ed, edd, and eddy.
one year during parent teacher conferences, he was visibly agitated and my mom said “you dont want to be here do you” and he pointed to his watch and said “spongebob is on right now”
