(we have obv left paralleles to christianity long behind here)
i think the divinity isnt really sure of what it wants if anything though. the dreamflower only wants to destroy humanity after seeing through anarkia’s eyes that humanity wishes for destruction. that it hates itself for its sins. the perishing star seems much more malevolent on the surface. DisSea (connected to the perishing star) wants chief and on some level, chief wants it too, but that same divinity also wanted chief to go astray in a sense and live as a human. likewise, the man at the piano seems rather kind and encouraging. he doesn’t want chief to end everything, he just wants her to figure things out for herself.

ig ptn’s three eyed god is stuck in tension between the shortcut (annihilation), and completion, but while it visibly shows some gravitation towards annihilation, it is ultimately oriented towards completion through chief, and that tension is metabolized through her suffering into greater orientation towards completion. ig this means chief probably cannot fail as long as she just keeps throwing herself in the meat grinder. the Source is itself incomplete as is.

perhaps raging sands was the whole story of the game on a micro scale
